Garbage Disposals
Q. My garbage disposal won’t work!
A. You may have jammed the disposal, in which case it will shut down. Try to remove any jammed items, then hit the reset button located on the disposal and try to turn the disposal back on. If you continue to have problems, call Haller Enterprises to schedule a service call.
Other Plumbing Items That May Need Checking
·Check your faucets. A leaky faucet can waste over 200 gallons of water per day. Also, allowing faucets to continue leaking can cause further damage to the faucet resulting in more expensive repairs.
·Check all exposed hot and cold water supply valves - Supply lines can deteriorate and even rupture. Deteriorated lines can usually be detected and replaced before a serious leak and damage occurs.
·Check sink piping - Corroded and deteriorated traps can be detected and replaced before they cause a problem
·Check your fixture drains - fixture drains that are not "free-running" are likely to become completely plugged.
By spending a little now to check your plumbing on a regular basis you may save any big expenses in the future. Calling a plumber when you first see any problems will save you big in the long run.
